We are a small hobby breeder located north of Adelaide, in Elizabeth Park, South Australia. We have been breeding Pet rats since 2007. We are no longer breeding.

Our rats are our family pets and cared for with much love. We aim for healthy super friendly pet rats to live a long and happy life. I breed to further my lines and personal goals. I keep rats from litters to continue my lines and home out any remaining kits from the litter to pet only homes. It is not a business - it is a hobby. I breed for myself.

We feed our rats a diet of origins rodent food (found in pet stores) / lauke mills rat & mouse blocks with a mix of sunflower and pumpkin seeds, wholemeal/vegie pasta, brown rice, toasted muesli, oats, shredded coconut, plus other dried fruit, nuts or seeds we have at the time. Our rats  also enjoy a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, such as red capsicum, Broccoli, carrots, corn cob, scrambled/boiled eggs, chicken and  bones.

For bedding we use shredded paper, fleece, Vet Bed, wheaten/straw/Lucerne/mini hemp  bedding for them to burrow in, lots of hammocks, cube houses, pods and cardboard boxes. We use breeders choice kitty litter for their corner litter trays.

Our rats are strictly pets only and kept indoors. If you are a breeder and plan to breed please let us know.  Your honesty is appreciated.

Pet rats are one of the most under rated pets around. They are such loving critters and can be compared to little puppy dogs. Rats are very intelligent and can be trained, they are very social animals and need to be kept in at least same sex pairs. A single rat housed on their own can become very depressed, it is very important they have a same sex mate to keep them happy and content :) A group of rats are called a 'Mischief' and they certainly can be that at times!

Our rats will only be released in same sex pairs, trios or more. Please do not ask for a single rat. Our on going support is available if required. If at any time you can no longer care for your rats from us, please return them to us where they will live out their lives with our mischief.
